FN-GM Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Hi, I am just wondering if anyone know if the Dell XPS 13 has a docking port similar to the ones found on the Latitude range please? I am after a portable laptop but would like to dock it so i can enjoy the benefits of a desktop when at home. Thanks

I believe the XPS13 uses its USB3.0 ports for docking with one of these: Dell SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Docking Station : PC Accessories for Tablets, Laptops & Desktops | Dell UK So, yes, it can dock, no it doesn't have a docking port.

DMcGuigan Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 We've got an XPS 13 kicking around in the office and it doesn't have a docking port. I'm not sure if by the Latitudes you mean the regular laptops or the Ultrabooks, but we've also got one of the old Latitude 6000 series Ultrabooks which does have a dock, though I believe it's EoL now. The current Latitude 7000 Ultrabooks have both the regular docking stations and the WiGi docks available, so they may be worth taking a look at.

I want a nice big display and then something portable without having 2 separate devices. The Latitude 7000 looks like the thing for me. No, because the XPS range is designed for home users. Its quick and easy to undock etc. Plus i already have the port replicator for a Dell.
