I'm trying to get hold of a power supply for our VC AMX MVP-5150 and so far failing miserably, it is a PS3.0 Power Supply (FG423-30), Output Voltage: • 13.5 VDC, Output Current: • 3.0 A.Connectors: • 1.3mm barrel plug, 11mm long.

Quite an unusual value to try to find 13.5v - I'd be tempted to try with a 12v and see if it works, just do not use anything higher than 13.5v. Amps can be as high as you like, but should be at least 3 if that's how much it draws.

Have you had a dig around your spare laptop chargers to see if anything fits the bill?

Oh and I forgot to say, check the polarity!

There will be a small symbol showing the polarity near the PSU socket on the device, like this:

You never want to plug in a PSU with reversed polarity (as compared to the input), that's a sure fire way to blow something :)

Thank you LosOjos.

The 12v with 3a would probably work it's the '1.3mm barrel plug' thats the main problem, we do not have any laptop chargers with such a small connector?

If you are handy with a soldering iron CPC could probably provide a 1.3mm plug to attach to a suitable PSU.

And isn't 13.5V a common battery charger output?

I've managed to find a company that Specialises in AMX equipment locally and they will check our AMX gear.

Thank you for helping.
