jedwards2 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 (edited) Hi folks A SIMS question: I have a need several times a year to generate a list of subjects currently taught in a particular year group. I'd like to be able to design/run a report with which I can select a year group and end up with a single list of subjects without picking through class codes/duplicates etc. Is this possible? For example, I'd like to end up after selecting, say, year 8 with a list that looks like: Art English Maths Science Technology ...etc I've searched on here and asked our SIMS guy and he can't think how to do it. LosOjos Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Hi @jedwards2, create a new report, focus should be "School > Subject". Add the 'Subject' field. For your filters, select the 'Classes for subject' subreport and set the condition to 'exist'. Click in to the 'Classes for subject' section, add a new filter on 'Students' subreport, again the condition should be 'exist'. Finally, add a filter to the 'Student's subreport on either 'Year Group' or 'National Curriculum Year' (or anything else you want to for that matter!) and make sure to tick 'prompt at runtime'. When you're done, your filters should look like this: The rest is up to you, carry on and present it however you like 1
