Hi,

I was using my QNAP as a plain old iSCSI for my DPM but its not needed anymore so have it as spare capacity. Updated to the latest firmware and there is a lot of new stuff but wondered what people are using theres for. Mine is a 8TB unit which I intended to just use it again as a iSCSI and move same staff accounts over that are huge.

You mean the whole DPM server is no longer needed or just this particular NAS (which is presumaby setup as part of the D2D storage pool)?

If you still have the DPM, I was going suggest you could use it as a spare to put in place if a live iSCSI NAS fails (DR for your DPM).

Or you could use it to hold archive backups (instead of or in addition to using tapes/USB drives).
