creating a new Sims Admin account ( via SQL/ management studio)

Is there a way to create any user account outside of sims ? , i created an exact duplicate of the admin account of sims .Sims then adds it to the master DB security and the sims database security , i then copied the variables from the main admin account .

 

It does not allow me to login with this account , so i assume im missing something ?

No, you can't create a SIMS account outside of SIMS. The password for starters is salted by SIMS .net application. Why would you need to do this? Edited March 19, 2014 by matt40k

Was just curious if it was possible , just done a sims migration and thought i would give it a go

Haha, fair enough. Sure you could do it, it'll just be a total faff. I'm ok changing passwords, never tried setting permissions - done it for FMS.
