Good afternoon,

I have recently found an issue with the vast majority of computers on my network. When users (admin or standard user) click logoff on the start menu, the computer actually shuts down, as if you had clicked shutdown? Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to resolve it? We have around 400 computers on our network, and over half of them are affected. It is getting very annoying now, as we like to keep the PCs on during the day. Any help is appreciated.

Best Regards,

Does it still shutdown if you run the logoff command through cmd?

shutdown -l -t 0

Just wondering if it's linked to the button settings, or some policy running etc

I haven't tried this, i will give this a go soon.

Trouble is, its a very temperamental problem, sometimes it logs off, and other times it shuts down. Non-admin users have the power button set to log off and all other options (hibernate, sleep, lock etc) disabled. Administrator users have no bower button setting, so the default is shutdown.
