bradsorensen Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I need some guidence. I had another admin come into my server room and messed with my RIS server and now it doesn't work. I confronted him and this is what he did. He repartitioned C drive into c and d he then moved the images I had on a second physical hard drive which was d but is now g and placed them on the d partition of the first physical hard drive. can ris images be on the same physical hard drive as the ris server but in a different partition ? The server was originally created with the ris server on c the first physical hard drive and the images were stored on d a second physical hard drive. Im not sure what needs to be done here. whether Ijust need to uninstall ris and then reinstall it? what about dns, dhcp and so on they should be fine correct?
FN-GM Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 can you not restore the backup to when it was working?
Guest Guest Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Yes they can be on seperate partitions but same physical. Reinstalling ris is an easy enough job, but first try Verifying it = Administratove Tools - Remote instalations -
Guest richard Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 You let another admin touch your servers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that is just plain wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
