Screen Reading software? Any good programs out there?

Afternoon All,

 

We have been using some software recently that reads out loud what's on screen. This is useful for exams where students with reading difficulty can "listen" to exam questions. The software we've been using is called Dolphin SaySo which is pretty good but an absolute nightmare to install across the network so we have to resort to installing it by hand the majority of the time which is very time consuming.

 

I'm wondering if anyone has any alternative programs out there that will do a similar job?

We were looking at something similar and was considering this: http://www.texthelp.com/north-america/our-products/readwrite/features-pc/reading#Text-to-Speech The demo version requires internet access to use it but the full purchased version does not. In the end though it was too pricey and we ended up just installing natural reader on a few stand-alone (no network/internet access) PC's for exams.

We use Claro Read: Claro Software: ClaroRead | Lightning | ClaroIdeas | Scan2Text

 

All software comes in MSI and is a piece of cake to install on a network.
