foofighterjim Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 We only have FCS and HR Portal and I actually need to get hold of a wireless card to test. We do still have them for our MIS support so I am going to need some form of VPN for our data uploads to still work. 1
eshaq786 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I've tried to access ftp://eduftp.birmingham.gov.uk which is the ftp site FCS tries to access and it doesn't appear to be available outside the grid.

I disconnected the network connection from the workstation and got it tethered to my phone. I made sure to disable the proxy in IE and as we suspected FCS was unable to communicate with the server. @Synkrox you must have something special configured somewhere for this to work.

Must be an Extranet, can't see how else it's being done and it's something I've spoken to them about before funnily enough.
