MYK-IT Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Ordered a nice shiny Dell Venue Pro 11 (i5) from Dell Premier website over 3 weeks ago. Originally advised that it would be next day delivery. Then another week, then another (you see the common theme here!). Anyway, it was then meant to had been delivered on Wednesday of this week. No Delivery. After checking with our Dell Manager, I was advised it would be today (Friday) but after checking the order status on-line it is now showing another 2 weeks lead time. The item is still not even in Pre-Production yet! To make matters worse, depending upon which Dell UK tracking page you use; and which order information you enter I can get up to 3 different delivery dates (2 already in the past) stated. Dell still continue to advertise the Venue Pro 11 on their Premier Page with next business day delivery availability. Dell shouldn't be advertising, or at least display an advisory of the supply issues. Very disappointed...may have to cancel and go with Microsoft Surface Pro 2 instead... (rant over)

bclarke Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I just ordered one yesterday and says it is on its way. Perhaps different versions have supply problems. Looking forward to getting mine, I have a docking station coming too. Been all for iPads for the last few years so really wanted to try the alternative.

Spoke to our Dell Account Manager explaining very poor (lack of) communications and that their website should clearly state if there are indeed any supply issues; or to stop advertising the models that are affected.

bclarke Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Atom for me too. Also the option for the dock priced it at over £100 but when I searched the website I found it at £80. I just added it separately rather than adding it as an option. The delivery is saying 1Kg so not sure if that is coming or whether it is really that light!
MYK-IT Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) Thought so, Atom stock appears to be plentiful with NBD Delivery; our Dell Venue Pro 8 was delivered quickly too. So definitely an issue with i5 (and possibly i3 specs too) stock and availability and found some forums where people have been waiting since November/December 2013! Edited February 28, 2014 by MYK-IT
