iceman85 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Hi I am looking for ideas here really, a teacher has asked me if they can have an area on their course page where they can write a calendar/schedule of the homework assigned to their classes. After a quick search online I found this this. I quite like the way that they have done it there and I was wondering if there is a similar moodle plugin? If not maybe i should just embed a google calendar.. What have other people done to accomplish this task? Thanks!
iceman85 Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 I made a version like the link above with html and javascript in the end
penfold_99 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 To create a list of homework you could use the progress block but there isn't anything that i know of that would be mimic that list publicly, it would need to be a customisation.
nickjelly Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 You can put course events in a course's calendar. These will show to a student in their my Moodle page and in the course page. Any Moodle-based assignments show their automatically. As been said, not obvious how to get a public-feed of this though.
CarolBooth Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Hi Iceman did you use moodle assignment data or write a free standing system?
iceman85 Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 I did it by using the teachers google calendar and getting them to put their homework on there. Then I iframed that on to the course page of moodle and did a couple of javascript buttons to switch between teachers calendars. You can do it with any online calendar though it doesn't have to be google
