bwestlake Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Ok one of our teacher machines, The teacher goes into there documents or a network drive, scrolls down. It then automatically scrolls backup to the top... This only happens on windows explorer, if he goes into lets say word to open a document, navigates to the folder scrolls across, its fine.... Works fine if he scrolls down on documents, webpages ect.. We gave him a new mouse, Same Issue. Unplugged board, Same Issue. Checked nothing unusual is plugged in. So now sort of confused, going to uninstall the drivers after school. Will film it and upload it if it continues. Anyone had this issue before, if so how, what, why. Thanks
Oaktech Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I've had something similar with an acer laptop and that was some sort of clash between the scroll function of the touchpad driver and the whiteboard hid driver. Removing the specific alps driver for the touchpad and going to the standard MS one fixed it.
bwestlake Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 its a teacher desktop not a laptop if that helps
Oaktech Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 its a teacher desktop not a laptop if that helps I assumed it was, but I was pretty much wondering-out-loud about whether it was similar. Humour me, and change the keyboard as well...
amckinley Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I would agree with bwestlake about drivers. Try uninstalling the mouse drivers and then letting it auto-redownload. It should search for the correct ones and install them automatically.
