Hello all.

I am alone in running a school. In 2012 we bought some HP M401DN's. I currently have two on the fritz with the same issue, both claiming paperjams where none exist.

One of the printers is BARELY used. As in I only put it into the room over summer from new. The other has been consistantly used. Both are unfortunately just out of warranty. I have tried changing toners and practically dissasembled them. It's weird that both have the same issue, but one has printed less then 400 pages in it's life.

Very rarely if I keep resetting them I will get a few more pages out of them, but will always "Phantom jam".

Any ideas? I have updated the Firmware to the latest version with no luck.

Maybe the paper detection sensors are dirty, look for a tear down of the printer or a service manual online and have a good check of all the sensors.
