office 365 users having problems uploading files using Skydrive Pro

Hi all

 

I have two teachers who use both Mac and PCs are having problems uploading filenames using the Skydrive Pro tool.

They are using the Skydrive Pro sync tool (part of Office 13 Pro Plus) to upload documents on to a user Skydrive, the upload process adds the following two characters " ._ " to the front of the file name and as a result, fails to upload. We have identified that the ._ is added by the Mac OS filesystem and the files are accessed on both PC and Mac machines.

 

 

Has anyone any suggests as a work around? I have tried the MS support forums but they have not suggested a solution that will work with the teachers workflow. This must have emerged in mixed OS schools before.
