detjo Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Hi All I have a herd of mp3 files named: Track 1,Track 2 etc. I'm looking for suitable software that can identify the tracks and auto ID3 tag them correctly. Anyone got any suggestions?
sonofsanta Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 WinAmp can do it, queue them all up in the playlist, sleect them all, right click and send to > auto tag (if memory serves). Has worked well for me in the past.
Arthur Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 MusicBrainz Picard will auto tag files based on the audio fingerprint of the track (similar to how Shazam works). 1
detjo Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks guys. MusicBrainz gets my vote - not only does it tag them, it also renames the files and moves them to 'x' location when done!
rich_tech Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I have used musicbrainz tagger in the past, would recommend their software too.
johnnymire Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Used WinAMP, Kid3 and MAGIX's mp3 software in the past, but it looks like Musisbrainz is worth a try also. Thanks for the suggestions!
SpuffMonkey Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 MediaMonkey does this too and is quite a natty little prog
Andrew_C Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Id3-tagit - Really quite a lot this will do for you. Development has stopped though.
Arthur Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 MP3tag is very good too. Tag sources include Amazon, Discogs, FreeDB, MusicBrainz to name a few. http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
