Apple IPad VPP buying licencese using school Purchase Orders

Got some more Ipads in a school and thinking of going legit and joining VPP

 

Can schools sign up and purchase through normal school purchase orders rather than using a credit card of paypal?

As far as I am aware purchase order sales are only available in the United States.

According to this VPP UK homepage, you can use purchase orders now...but no instructions anywhere as to how...

You have to contact Apple directly, they will give you details of where to send your Purchase Order to. Then they will credit your VPP account with "VPP Credit" to buy apps.

You will have to find a UK edu VPP contact number and give them a ring. We still use credit card so I cannot provide much more than I have so far, sorry

That's OK, you've answered a burning question either way. I am currently waiting for a chat session to find out what number I need to call or address I need to email! If it is the same number regardless of who you are then I will post it up here for others to see!

I spoke with Apple about this very thing and was told you have to jump through hoops to get an Apple purchasing account, and then if you do, it's further hoops. Apparently later on this year resellers will be able to sell VPP credit which will make it easier. Did you get a similar story?

I don't see the big issue about using a credit card, I just go to our finance manager with my vpp login, click the app I want into the basket and she pays.

 

My only gripe is that you can only purchase one app at a time.
