Mr_Jiminy Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Folks can you please recommend a decent mono laser printer for around the £200 - £300 mark. Stumped, usually push clients down the managed print route, which takes most of the hassle away from looking for hardware.
fiza Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I just bought some of these Paid less through our reseller. Decent printer with xtra capacity cartridges available.
adhutton Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) We use the HP Laserjet P3015dn Mono Laser Printer for workgroup printing. They are good. You can pick them up for about £300 (or less) in many outlets. If you want something a bit cheaper, smaller, maybe for offices then these are good as well and Tesco have them reduced in price at the moment: Buy Ricoh SP 201N Laser Network Printer from our Laser Printers range - Tesco.com Andrew Edited February 7, 2014 by adhutton

The Ricoh seems like a nice cheap network printer but how much are the cartridges and the yield?

adhutton Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) We get the Ricoh cartridges for about £40 to £45 (ish) - Ex. VAT, and they do about 2,000 pages for the standard toner. I think there is a high capacity toner available, but we haven't had any of those yet so cannot comment on them. Andrew Edited February 7, 2014 by adhutton
Oaktech Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 We are running 2 hp 3015,s seem pretty good. We are also running a couple of HP4014 with the high cap toners. Pretty pleased with them, and looking to get some more.
MattHarwood Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I'm a big fan of Brother - we use the HL-5340D and the newer HL-2240D machines here and get incredible yield, and the toners can be had for £25 (compatibles). The finance office goes an academic year on one toner, at least 3000 pages.
GeekyPete Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Bought over a dozen Dell 3330 off Ebuyer last year. We paid £99.99 for them. Bargain, great little printers very easy to set up and manage over http. One was faulty which Dell swapped out next day. No other issues.
Mr_Jiminy Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Excellent folks, thanks again for the responses.
Mr_Jiminy Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 It's a toss up between the HP P3015 and the Kyocera FS-2100.
Mr.Ben Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 The HP3015DN is a great printer, we have 16 across the site. You should pay around £309 for them.
