mole Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I know there many awesome photos of the storm around but thought I'd share one of mine from yesterday:
newpersn Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 At least the line still intact... (or am i missing something)
LosOjos Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 At least the line still intact... (or am i missing something) I've had trains cancelled on me because of leaves on the track (in Autumn no less) so I'm gonna take a wild guess and say those big chuffing waves are a problem
MatthewL Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Take a look at these 2 images, here and here. There is a video on BBC of it too some where.
CAM Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Is that Dawlish? Weather has all but destroyed the track there: National Rail Enquiries - Service Alteration Details The tide is very good at washing away stones, so combine that with rail ballast and goodbye track. Even took a number of concrete sleepers with it!
