Grade 5 (£14,601 - £16,593) 37 hours/week, 39 weeks/year

 

Required March 2014, an experienced, competent and reliable technician.

The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of Windows Servers, Windows Vanilla Network (School environment), Windows AD, MS Office 2010 & above and MAC.

Knowledge of SCCM, Symantec Backup Exec, Smoothwall, Exchange, A/V Classroom/Theatre and SIMS is preferable.

 

Able to work equally effectively as part of a small team or independently, the successful candidate will possess a flexible attitude towards working hours and the ability to work an additional 4-6 weeks of school holidays to accommodate the technical and extra-curricular requirements of our school is essential.

Out of curiosity, the ad mentions working additional holiday weeks that presumably aren't part of the standard 39, which would presumably affect the pro rata salary that I'm assuming is the one advertised?

I would have to clarify with our Business Manager, but my current technician takes time-in-lieu.

We have not discussed it before, but it could be open to discussion for the successful candidate.

Is that salary negotiable? I'm based in Stoke on the same pay grade (top of scale now) but would be looking for higher grade if I was to consider moving.

No problem. Thanks for the reply. I think it would have to be a significant increase or i'd be selling myself short. Just thought id ask the question. :)
