I can't believe (as an "Apple Fanboy") that I'm about to say this ..

Morning all

GAH .. I've had enough of Apple's own offerings now for the office side of things. First off with the latest Pages I've had to reformat all my business templates because they decided that people don't need to use images and tables in headers for any reason whatsoever, so they're removing that features, and now I've found out that all the date defaults in Numbers are the American ..

Trying to sort a table of SpeedTest results in date order from our school IP as part of a complaint we're putting together with all the ongoing issues we've had with our connection, and because it only does American, it doesn't recognise the dates properly in the UK date format ..

So, I'm off back to Microsoft Office me thinks - I would go the OpenOffice route, but I might as well go with something that works and as most of my clients use it, it would make sense to be able to support more directly .. lol ..

Next you'll be buying a windows phone.....

Come to Android before its too late!

Nah, not going to a Windows phone, if I ever did move away from the iPhone it would be an Android based one for sure, either a Samsung or HTC based on current offerings, but as I'm "paid up" in my iPhone apps and things that are useful, at the moment, it's not worth the move as I'd have to start getting a lot more apps for the new phone ..

Office 2011 isn't so bad. The versions before that were... inconsistent to say the least.

That said, it's still not as good as the Windows product but considering the size of the Office for Mac team compared to the main Office team, it's a miracle they get the software out at all.

from our school iMac I think I definitely prefer Office to iWork on the mac, havent really bothered that much with iWork because it feels a bit "clunky" to me, though Keynote does make for some very good looking presentations.
