Printer Pauses after 2/3 jobs

We got a slight problem with our data manager computer and our printer in the office (Windows 7 32bit and Brother HL-4140CN)

 

when we print our reports out from sims. After its finished tagging the students. When the reports are sent to the printer, The que decides to pause it self. This only seems to happen on this computer. When i log on and print it works fine and when i do it from my Windows 8.1 computer with the same driver its fine...

 

 

I have tired printing direct to the printer (without the print server) its the same. and changing the spooling settings direct to the printer. (it work with that setting but it took 20mins to print 30 reports.... )

 

 

Any ideas?

turn printer spooling off, "print direct to printer" not a fix but a work around

Just checking but the Windows 8.1 is 32 bit like the Windows 7?

64 bit. Same version print driver

If it only afflicts that one user on only that machine it sounds like a printer preferences issue as those are stored in the local profile. Go through the printer preferences and if it all seems to match those on a working system them you could try removing the printer and deleting all references to it in the registry under the HKCU hive.

Ive now fixed this.

 

I replaced the computer with a different base and still the same problem.

 

I turned off: " render print jobs on client computers" and that seemed to have worked..
