Temporary Disable Smart Ink on Smart Notebook Network install

I found a Blog which tells you how to temporary disable Smart Ink:

Technology Tutorials and More: Disable/Turn off Smart Ink for the Smartboard Notebook software.

 

However this is apparently only for Smart Notebook standalone installs. On a Network install Smart Ink Settings is not installed.

 

Does anyone please know of a way to temporary disable (not remove) Smart Ink on a network install of the product?

Fastest way is to delete the following reg value via Group Policy Preferences:

 

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Valuename: SMART Ink

 

That will stop SMART Ink from running at logon. When you want it back, restore the reg key (take a backup before deleting so you know what value data to restore in future).
