Hi Nick,

I have managed to get it working intermittently. I am trying to add mappings and if I put them in one by one and save it appears t work. However, if I then wish to make changes to that mapping or even delete it - I am faced with the following error 'The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter HAP:Web.API:origunc. The InnerException message was 'There was an error deserializing the object of type System.String. Encountered unexpected character 'h'.'. Please see InnerException for more details.

I am determined to get this fixed an running for after half term.

Regards,

I prefer to use the hapconfig XML for editing drives and the like.

It certainly is more stable editing it direct. And *touch wood* I now have it working as expected and ready to use. Thank you very much for your help. I suppose the only thing letting it down really is having a really nice interface which cant be used properly for configuring.

Thank you again.

**UPDATE**

Please ignore this post as I replaced the web.config file I forgot to remove the line about ".svg" that caused the issue.

**UPDATE**

Hello, not sure if i will get a response here or if i need to open a new thread.

But I had this issue and replaced the web.config file and deleted the hapconfig.xml and it was recreated.

Re-entered all the information on the setup.aspx and i could then log in.

But after logging in as any of the users i have "Resources" "Management" "Me" displayed but no buttons underneath, when i click any of them they just become higlighted in blue and the url changes but it doesnt take me off the homepage.

Please help.....!

But its sorted now.

I had to replace the web.config file and delete the hapconfig.xml file.

Reboot server and all was ok.
