So the elephant was in the middle of a known period of increased aggression, being stalked by a car that stopped dead when faced (could be seen as confrontation from the animal), so was rolled resulting in a minor injury to a passenger - so the elephant was killed?!

I think the elephant might have been a threat to the teacher. I mean her job, as it obviously had more sense than she did.
