IE10 GPP

Apologies this has probably been discussed LOTS of times before.

 

I just need to know how people are deploying a home page and favourites to IE10 from Server 2008R2 (IE10).

 

Is the preferred method to use GPP, make a registry change to a client and then assign this change to the GP?

 

Or are people using IEAK?

Homepage you can set via GPO still.

 

As for Favourites, if you re-direct them (to say H:\Favorites) you can copy/paste shortcuts this way.

Where are you suggesting I change the home page inside GPO? My understanding was when IE10 is installed on the server, that facility is then revoked.

User Config > Admin Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer - Disable changing home page settings

 

And Disable changing secondary home page settings (optional).

IE10 installation does not affect the whole GPO as such, it affects IEM which disappears from the object. You can still manage the IE GP settings as before.

It did Michael, thanks chap very much appreciated. I had imported the templates but could I heck spot the 'disable changing home page setting'.
