When teachers go home, they change the Windows proxy settings to allow them access to the internet. It seems Outlook 2010 isn't detecting the change in Windows proxy settings and is still trying to get out through the proxy. This results in them having to use login.microsoftonline to access their emails.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Sometimes Outlook remains open in the Notification Area (bottom right).

You could create a small script to enable/disable the proxy, but also stop and restart outlook.exe.

Even when you restart Outlook the problem remains.
