Anyone read Richard Morgan's Takashi Kovacs series? I'm up for anything that hardlines the intertubes directly into my brain. A smartwig sounds like it would be some sort of neural transmission net you wear on your head. I'd doubt it would be the full on 'fake hair' kind...

Loved those books, haven't checked to see if he's continued the series since 'Broken Angels'.

 

'Market Forces' was another one of his I enjoyed, but just had too much of a ring of 'possibility'.
