I hate this gimmick-over-utility the wearable tech route is going. I'd much rather things be suitable for purpose but not obtrusive. Wrist-mounted computers, eyewear (such as Google Glass), or a small article of clothing such as gloves. I remember seeing quite some time ago (a year+) about coats with MP3 players in them. But that's going backwards because an MP3 player is already small and portable.
