Me again,

 

Nearly there now with the slideshow thingy. I've put it in now and it looks OK but the content has dropped a bit. Does anyone know how to sort this one out? And for some reason it only seems to be working on the home page and not on any other page? A weird one, all my other modules /components work spot on excepth this one. Once i've got it working that's it with the tecchie bits.

Hiya ben. Out of intrest are you using the most recent version of the package? There was an issue with an earlier version that casue you issue, also try reducing the width of the flash banner from within the smoothgallery component settings.

 

As for why it only shows on the front page, the template has to have something published in both user6 and top for either to be displayed.

No i'm not using the most recent version i'm using the version from May last year? I'm scared if i upgrade to the newest version it might cause some of my work to go missing ?!? I could add the recent updated items to the top on all the modules if needed but i didnt really want to go down that route.

Here is the updated css file for the red template. Try replacing yours with this (backup your one first) and see what happens.

OK will do, I'll make sure i try it out on a test box first. Then when i'm happy i'll role it out to the live server.

It's working better i just need to go through the code with the two CSS Sheets and make it meet the school specification like changing the font and so on.

 

It's better than i've had it though. Have a quick look now, i'm going to turn it off until i'm happy its working with the new style sheet, then we should be OK from then onwards i think.

Cracked it now...

 

Another bit done. My next challenge is RSS, some flash bits n pieces and the school virtual tour. Training with staff is on the cards for after the October Half Term

very good nice use of white space only thing i can see that i would look at is format of pics on home page as random pics some of them are a little stretched and don't match the others which i may add are very good.

 

well done i always admire the time and effort that webam put's into our site.
