LukeC Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Looks like one Connect are making Sophos AV a chargeable service as of next year, it will be no longer part of the bundle!
jhothersall Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 i'm sure its a umbrella licence form the LEA from what i've been told in the past ...
LukeC Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 Looks like its changing from what has been put on the portal today following the ICT focus group. OC currently have no plans to replace Sophos and have recently extended the contract with Sophos. However, we plan to remove Sophos from the bundle so schools can purchase separately - this will also ensure that each school is fully licensed for the number of devices in each school. Pricing will be released as part of the 2014/15 SLA
jhothersall Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Well I know I want to keep clear of Microsoft Security Essentials, as 15 user is maximum in a small business ?? But we are technically a charity.....
sammy42 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 It said on the portal post that it was to do with licence issues to make sure we are all covered. More like they have see another money making opportunity as it will be per device licence.
FN-GM Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 If you are on EEES you can use System Center Endpoint Protection 2012 for nothing. Have SCCM manage it will be a plus, its not expensive for SCCM. (less than £100 per year).
