Edmodo to charge

Has anyone heard this? A member of staff told me this today but I can't seem to find anything about it. Be a pain if they did.

Looks like a false alarm tbh, she sent me a couple of articles and it was talking about them opening up the API for app development which they can make money on. I can't see them forcing people to use apps but I can see it being a revenue cow for them if the apps are 'essential' for collaborative learning. (so sick of hearing that term)
