ROFL - cut and paste job gone wrong!

OR the most honest IT tech advert yet "you will be expected to clean the playground, fix broken PCs, file the schools' tax return, make the head's dinner..."

To be able to be considered for the school administrator position, applicants must either have a CRB that is dated within the last 12 months or be willing to pay for a new application at the cost of GBP52.00

That is outrageous! That is clearly the employers responsibility. (And was the writer so clueless that they couldn't find the £ key?)

Ive been here for over 8 years and both our caretakers have been here under a year and as such i know far more about the site than they do. I must help them out at least 3 times a week with something regarding the site. I spent yesterday helping fix the boilers and today i am re-configuring the timers on it as were trying to save money by not using as much gas. Some staff have issues in there room where power trips on an odd occasion and they have started to come find me rather than the caretakers.

Its an Employment Agency, and as such they cannot apply for CRB on the behalf of the employer. Its standard practice, however, for the agency to pay the cost of the CRB back after 1 or 2 months successful placement. Same rules as supply teaching. I'd get used to it, as lots of schools are hiring this way now.
