I need to export some data from sims and i just need some pointers on how to get this specific information in a specific format...

I've had an export from nova-t4 given to me but it wasn't ideal as it put all the classes in columns rather than rows.

I need the 3 columns to be:

Admission numbers / Class / Year of intake

The tricky bit is that i need it to be listed by class which the sims reports don't appear to allow me to do.

So what i want to see is:

Class 7B/CM1 in Column A 20-30 times, then the admission number of every student in that class in Column B. Then the next class and so on. Column C isn't quite so important as i can enter that manually really.

Is this possible? and if so how?

Ok, I've just tried that but first i need to fill in the blanks.

Each user has admission number in once, then blank below until the next user...normally a simple task but for some reason it won't let me unless i highlight the empty cells and delete the non existent contents (there was a space in there) quick method for resolving that please?

EDIT: to explain a bit better, if i go to find + select, go to special and select blanks it fails to highlight the cells until i've highlighted them and pressed delete even though those cells are empty. I've tried a TRIM command to remove the space, but i still seem to have to do it.
