Hi all,

I'm testing a 2012R2 remote desktop server at the minute and have a question about metro. I've got the 'Apps' part of metro using our redirected start menu and have pinned a few of the important items for staff directly to the 'Start' portion of metro. However I want to add 'Desktop' and the 'My PC' option to the start area. How do I go about doing this!? I've had a look round online and can't seem to find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Good luck! If you manage it, let us know how! We tried for a full day on Windows 8.1 - the xml layout (exported with Powershell) which is managed with Group Policy only seems to accept very particular shortcuts. I couldn't get This PC, SIMS.net, many other application shortcuts or system links to show.

For my PC, you need to have the Desktop Experience feature installed.
