Our house had a dark purple hallway, very busy wallpaper, pink living room carpet, and hot pink latex-ish paint on the master bedroom walls, along with black gothic metal curtain poles, hot pink curtains of a fine mesh that provided less privacy than a kinky nightie, a heavy duty set of 4 speakers mounted on the walls and a TV VESA mount fitted above where the bed would have been judging by the carpet.

The hall is now yellow Duracoat, the living room is "Mushroom" (or as I call it, 1970s Baxi Bermuda Beige, as it blends with the fire of that name beautifully), the carpet is now easy-care wood effect vinyl, and the bedroom has been redone in dark and light grey to minimise light bleed for the little one, the hardware has been junked, and the curtains given to DD as "dress up" material.

I daren't ponder what that room, or indeed the neighbours have seen in the past!

Ye gods, no. It was one of those "you look at it all on your first 2 viewings making a mental list, and when you get the keys you go in fully loaded to deal" jobs.

All sorted before we handed the keys to the rented cottage back - I'm afraid hot pink just isn't my thing.. :)
