6Foot2 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) We had and Edugeek outage for a couple of minutes around 3:30 today. Back now and all seems well. Any ideas what caused it? Will there be another? [Only Edugeek was affected: I was able to browse other sites during the mini-outage] Edited March 24, 2014 by ZeroHour 1

pcstru Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) Subsequent to that outage, I'm unable to access the site from Firefox. I get a "403 Forbidden". I've cleared cache, cookies and DNS is obvioulsy OK since the site comes up when using Chrome or IE. I don't think it's a general firefox problem, since from my PC at home, access is fine. It's very very wierd (and it doesn't appear to be going away). Edited November 8, 2013 by pcstru
sparkeh Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Just for info, I experienced that as well yesterday.
plexer Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Yup saw it here as well unable to load the site. Ben

ZeroHour Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Hmm not sure whats happened. I think our data centre has had a few issues.
pcstru Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I'm experiencing the issue again. On firefox I get a "403 forbidden". On the same machine, IE and Chrome can access the site fine.

pcstru Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Will do. It's back now. I didn't clear out cookies or make any changes this time, so this morning when I open up the site on Firefox, I'm still logged in.

I have made a few changes last night, is anything different for you now?
pcstru Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 So do you think it was linked to being logged in/out? I don't know! The fact that last time I deleted cookies and this time I didn't, suggests that session tracking isn't making any difference. I have made a few changes last night, is anything different for you now? Not that I notice. It's been OK since it came back yesterday. It's weird that it's only firebox and it only affects one machine - which makes me suspicions of session tracking. The 403 is the edugeek server, not something more local. I think!
