MHT files

I've been asked by a member of staff why MHT files are taking an extended time to load - sometimes up to 2 minutes for a 2Mb file, and causing IE to hang whilst it loads.

 

I've tried these on a number of machines, and have temorarily excluded them from on-access AV scans.

 

Has anyone else come up with this, and if so what resolution did you find?

We're having a similar issue. MHT files take an age to load, and often crash the browser before loading. As yet we've not found a fix.

Anyone got a solution for this? It only happens with IE and tried messing with the options and security settings to no avail.
