Mixing SATAu and SAS in Raid

Hi all,

 

I have a RAID 1 array with two disks. Both disks are SAS. My question is, if one of the disks fails can I replace it with an identically spec'd SATAu disk?

 

The server is a Dell Poweredge 2950.

Not if they're part of the same Virtual Disk. You can have a mixture of SAS and SATAu in a server if the SAS and SATAu are in respective separate Virtual Disks though.
