Stuart_C Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 So in the bad old days I set up some VM's with E1000 network cards. However due to some network related issues I want to change them to VMXNET3 adaptors. What's the best way to do this? I've seen some stuff about editing the VMX file in a text editor, is that viable and safe? Alternatively I could add a new adaptop to the VM, change IP settings over and then remove the old adaptor, this seems OK but is a faff. So any recomentdations for the best way as as far as I can see there is no option in the GUI to just change it. Cheers.
Achandler Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 We did it the second way to be honest. Seemed the safest way when we changed a couple as we coudl ahve easily reverted to the old card if necessary,
