ISCSI for osx server

Hi, any recommendations for ISCSI for osx server?

 

Preferably free?

 

Brand new mac mini running 10.8.3, 16Gb ram, i7.

 

Should I upgrade to Mavericks?

Sorry, I should have said.

I have a Dell 3200i SAN with some Spare storage. I wish to present it to the Mac server.

1 for storage

2 for time machine backup.

 

So, initiator.

I have just downloaded the Globalsan trial, which does both.

I have read good things about the Atto initiator, do you have experience of either?

Have you considered using a Windows or Linux server that has this built in to map the space then sharing it off that via nfs or cifs.

I've used both GlobalSan and ATTO iSCSI initiators for the Mac and they both do the job as you'd expect. My own personal preference was GlobalSan simply because it was free at the time I used it.

I think I will go the ISCSI route, just seems tidier to me.

 

Wish the globalsan was still free.
