Help needed for xcopy script

Hi attempting to stop an adobe reader popup, worked out that i need to move an *.acrodata file to another folder.

 

So using this script on windows 7 - if I specify the username ie class2 the script works. I've tried with %userprofile% but it's not working.

 

xcopy "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Security\*.acrodata"

"C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\11.0\Security\"

You've said that you've tried with %userprofile%, but then put your line in with %username%. Which are you trying to get working? Or will either do so long as it works!? When it fails, does it give an error?

I've tried substituting %userprofile% for %username% also starting the script on %appdata% not made any difference. No error message, just doen't work.

xcopy "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Security\*.acrodata" "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\11.0\Security\"

 

This line worked for me. The only difference I can see between yours and this is that you have a space between "Acrobat" and the following "\"

 

I just copied and pasted this in to a command prompt.

Ok, now it will copy my file across but I want to be able to run it for all users and copy their file across at the same time. Is that possible?

Just stick with the %username% and set it as a log in script? That way it will do it for whoever logs on.

Protip... %localappdata% and %appdata% instead of c users username appdata local /roaming
