Hi all,

One of our teachers has asked me to look into a problem with previewing a png file in Internet Explorer 10 on Win 7 x64 PCs. When previewing in internet explorer the drop down menu that they created in Fireworks 8 doesn't work correctly. I have tested it on XP with IE8 and it works fine. Also tested on my Win7 PC and it doesn't work with IE10 either. It works fine using firefox/opera/chrome/safari but these are not installed on student PCs. I haven't used fireworks much can anyone help? I have attached the png

This is what it looks like in firefox:

This is what it looks like in ie10:

Here is the png file:

many thanks for your help

I think we need more than the PNG file? As - for what it's worth - that looked fine on IE10 here.

I think you may need to host a copy of the problem page somewhere online so that folk can look at it.

Out of interest - have you tried looking at the IE10 developer bar on the page (Shift F12)

That's as much as I know about web developing, I'm afraid :)

Are you previewing this as a web page? If so what does the address say? We had an issue with images showing if the address was //filestore/users/username/user/webpage.html but if you change it to their documents folder it worked e.g. W:/webpage.html

Hope that makes sense?

Hi

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Sorry if i didn't explain very well but what they are doing is creating this png drop down menu and then previewing in the web browser. This generates a temp html page (file:///C:/Users/.../AppData/Local/Temp/FWTemp/00000001.htm) with the png drop down in, in the browser.

I tried using the developer bar but doesn't seem to matter what version i try it doesn't work. Feel like installing chrome instead!
