Ok so my missus really wants a tablet but doesnt want to spend much on it.

I'm thinking not more than £130 max

Specs: minimum 9" screen / dual core / 1gb ram pref 2gb / storage min 4gb / mini usb port for dongle / play store / android 4 or above

I'm thinking for this price there's going to have to be some loss of speed or screen quality - if I buy one and either of these isn;t up to scratch I'll get it in the neck!

She will mainly be browsing web, facebook etc......

I've been looking and found some unknown/non branded one's but not too sure if worth the punt - anyone have any ideas or bought a cheap tablet that is good?

I bought a couple of Scroll Extreme II tablets for some of the children here to use for a little over £100 each but the difference between them and my Nexus 10 is immense. I have had probelems with all of them losing WiFi connection, not syncing time and date correctly, the touch screen does not always respond to gestures and I keep having to reset them. Maybe there are better models out there but my thoughts would be to spend more and get a quality device. My girlfriend has asked me the same question and I'm probably going to encourage her to get the new Nexus 7 for £200
