localzuk Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I distinctly remember that under Schools Agreement we used to get 2 free Microsoft support incidents per year. However, I can't seem to find any mention of this with our EES license. Under the 24x7 Problem Resolution Support item in the SA part of the VLSC, there are no details, no Access ID etc... Anyone have any idea if this is still valid? If so, how do I go about using them?
AngryTechnician Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 This was part of the TechNet Plus subscription we got free with SA/EES, but which has been discontinued as of August 2013. If your renewal was before August 31 you should still have TechNet Plus until the end of your agreement period. Not sure if you already need to have activated it though.
DMcCoy Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I'm not sure you will have the technet plus, even though the subscription was active at the time. The MS site is typically cryptic about the whole thing but states: Were active as of September 1, 2013 Expire on or before September 30, 2014 Have not been granted through the Volume Licensing program As technet was from a VL subscription it *may* have gone completely.
AngryTechnician Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 My TechNet Plus is still going, and it was the freebie from EES. I activated before August 31 though.
plexer Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 The 2 support incidents were only valid for issues you could re-produce in a testing non production environment anyway. Ben

Now that August 2013/2014 is now well and truly gone does anyone know how I contact Microsoft for support mainly for the problem in the post http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-server-2012/147710-commited-ram-critical-please-help-me.html We have an EES agreement but I am now wondering if this entitles us to support. It crazy Microsoft is the company we give the most money to each year and yet they are the hardest to actually speak to unless you have a magic number. Cheers
mtillbrook Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 The only thing that springs to mind would be to ask your licensing supplier. They will be a MS partner and will have access to MS support if you ask them nicely!
