[ms office - 2010] One student gets Office running install every time for every document?

We have a strange issue here. With MS Office 2010 all users get the usual set up box popping up for first log on to any given Workstation but one Student is getting MS Office install running every time for every document he tries to open. I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on??

Typically this is most likely a user profile issue.
