Hall Projector

Hello,

 

I wonder if anyone can provide me with some advice for our projector setup in our main hall.

 

At the moment we have a rear projection setup - which whilst adequate is looking a little dated, and being rear projection lacks sharpness and clarity.

 

Ideally we would like to move to a traditional projection.

 

I think realisticaly we would need someone willing to come to site and have a look before quoting, so we can discuss the options

 

Does anyone know\represent a company that might be willing to help?

I don't know where you are, but KPMS up Yorkshire way did ours with a ceiling mount projector and 4m electric screen and it's bloomin' marvellous. Great value, fast workers and lovely chaps to boot, use them for all my AV installs now.

Recently installed a Casio LED short throw jobby in one of our halls - couple of meters throw for a 4m wide picture, very pleasing results at not a huge amount of money. Especially as it's a scaffolding job to get it up/changed!

Always ways and means though. Our speakers get a bashing from volleyballs and point in funnier directions than cheap satnavs. The projector sits further proud than those and our caretaker chap has done a thorough job of securing it. It's bigger than most yet it's barely moved more than half an inch in 3 years of being bashed around something chronic.

Western Business Systems in Blackpool provided ours, along with a motorised screen and audio. It's a Mitsubishi XD600u 4500 lumens. Been used every day for at least three years and still going strong on the original lamp. It also doesn't have a filter to clean. Good job as it's too high up to reach without scaffolding.

We have two; the Casio short throw is an MJ-ST145, our other (long throw) is a Sanyo PLC-XM100L. Latter has been in place a long time, the Casio was fitted last year.
