Information and Images published to desktop

Hi all,

 

As the title says how you do (if at all) publish data/images to your desktop for staff to see?

 

I normally use BGInfo for the bit of text here and there but I've been asked to publish detention lists from an excel spreadsheet to all desktops every Thursday and a another list on Fridays, then the normal desktop to resume for the start of the next week.

 

Is there anyway of doing this, we are using Windows 7 with Server 2008 R2.

if its an image of an excel sheet (to display the actual sheet you would have to force excel to open every logon for staff and i suspect that wouldnt go down well) you could use gpp to replace the background image with a bacground image + pic of excel sheet on a set day then copy the normal one back later

Thanks Sted, I thought as much as about the excel data.

 

I will look into this more.

you could always dump it to a txt file or possibly even now i think about it get excel to save it as a web page and force load that
