Does anyone know how the colours work on the homepage timeline? Here we only get two colours, blue which is the timetabled lesson and a sort of grey for diary events. I noticed that on the green abbey test enviroment that there are several other colours. I am guessing that yellow is cover but i noticed green for on rota and also red for SLT

Anybody know/explain how this works?

@Kyle, I think these colours are hard coded on the timeline. Yellow is cover. Diary entries also appear. From autumn, when someone is covering your class it will show who did it and also indicate room changes.

Thanks Phil,

Do you have any idea on the red and green. I've seen this in the Green Abbey demo site. Have a look at Adrian Black homepage.

@Kyle hot from the product manager!

Ivory - calendar

Pale blue - timetabled class

Aqua blue - non class code e.g. PPA time

Green - cover rota

Yellow - classes you are covering

Red - supervising a detention

Bright red - timetable clash

From autumn

Light fawn - your classes that have been covered

Pale orange - your reason for absence

Absence reasons will be visible to staff? I thought those notes were for Personnel's eyes only? Especially if Personnel decide to record sensitive information or notes in there.

So pale orange won't appear at all? I'm not sure I get why reason for absence appears on the timeline if only the admin teams can see.

The reason for absence is the description recorded in the cover diary and it only shows on that person’s timeline, so therefore there are no worries that unauthorised staff can see personal or moral sapping information (Head going for interview etc.)

Hi @PhilNeal - we're having issues with staff and their ability to check room changes - may I pick you up on your point here (admittedly from 2013!) regarding the timeline and room changes; are room changes which are done in cover illustrated on the timeline? If so are they supposed to be a different colour?

Cheers

I've seen now that they are reflected in the timeline but not a different colour - that would be AMAZING if we could do that; is it possible?!
