Another day another question!

 

Does anyone use Netloan, in their network. The network I have just taken on has this running on 50 PC's and they are dreadful, Log in takes 10 minutes, the boot is slow and they are generally just nasty, this software runs over the OS and makes good workstations (i5 4GB) dramatically slower than their no Netloan counterparts. If anyone has used this and has a suggestion of how to improve the performance then the team and I would be very happy! (Well sort of we do work in IT after all)

It's not an essential bit of software - get rid! If it's having a massive impact, put a case together to the SLT for it's removal and replacement!

What do you use it for - I may have written an app in VB last night that does what you might be after?

I got some help from NetLoan on this turns out the last guys that where "running" the network in the loosest sense of the term had not updated the bloody thing in the best part of 3 1/2 years. So ran the updates, set up a clean PC and it works like a treat!!!
