Mandatory Profiles & UK Keyboard Settings - Windows 7

Hi

All of our users have a mandatory profile that was created using the Microsoft approach.

The Profile is set up with UK language, Region is UK etc etc etc.

When a user logs on however, the keyboards do not reflect this. So when I go to control panel for the user, I notice that there is no Keyboard Installed in Region and Laguages/ Keyboards and Languages.

If I add the keyboard and restart, it is removed. I figured it was because of the .MAN file. So I created a new profile, renamed the .MAN to .DAT and set up a user to use this profile. Still the profile is not being saved.

So I open up Regedit, loaded the hive and set the following key: HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT/Keyboard Layout/Preload/1 to 00000809

I closed the hive, renamed the .DAT to .MAN and logged on with the user. Exactly the same issue. No Keyboard.

Any Ideas?

The "Local Admin" account was used to set the computer up with the English-UK keyboard, and when that user logs on, all is fine. But when a user that uses the Mandatory Profile logs on, the keyboard is removed.
